Kaiju Comparator

The Kaiju Comparator is a decision tool for Kaiju Alpha when you are stuck between forms. Update 42’s remodeled Godzilla 2014, island revamps, and recolor set make old habits unreliable. Instead of asking “what is secretly S tier,” ask “what wins my next sixty minutes?” This page gives you a checklist, a transparent scoring method, and worked examples for PvP versus farm roles.

Pair results with the Tier List Hub for community consensus, the Kaiju Roster for role/era context, and the Cell Farm Planner once a winner is chosen.

Step 0 — write the job card

Before scoring anything, fill this card in your notes:

FieldYour answer
Session lengthe.g. 45 minutes
Primary jobPvP lab / U-cell farm / XP catch-up / remap practice
Multiplier live?Yes x2 EXP / No / Unknown — check Roblox title
Map comfortHigh / Medium / Low after Update 42 islands
Risk toleranceHappy to die for damage / Need safer poke
Backup form allowed?Yes / No

If the job card says “farm,” do not pick a duel specialist because it looks cooler in the lobby.

Shared observation checklist

Spend one short life on each candidate form and mark Yes/No. No lab, no score.

CheckWhat you are looking forYes/No
Range toolsCan you tag targets without standing in every melee pile?
Crowd contactDo skills hit multiple players or clustered structures?
Commit movesDo you have a clear “go in” button, or only pokes?
Escape planAfter a whiff, can you leave with roar/mobility/terrain?
Vertical playCan you use Update 42 island perches or new sightlines?
Cooldown rhythmCan you keep pressure without long dead air?
ReadabilityCan allies recognize your recolor/silhouette in chaos?
ComfortCan you execute the kit without fighting the controls?

Controls reminder while testing: skills 15, roars R / T.

Scoring method (0–2 per trait)

Score each trait 0 (poor), 1 (usable), or 2 (strong for the job). Weights differ by mode.

PvP weights

TraitWeightWhy
Confirm / burst clarity×3Wins happen when you know your kill sequence
Escape / disengage×3Islands are full of third parties
Range control×2You choose fights instead of accepting them
Crowd threat×2Multi-target pressure wins messy servers
Cooldown rhythm×1Consistency across long brawls
Comfort×1Fancy kits you drop under stress are worth less

PvP total = sum of (score × weight). Max = 3*2 + 3*2 + 2*2 + 2*2 + 1*2 + 1*2 = 24.

Farm weights

TraitWeightWhy
Crowd / structure contact×3Cells and XP scale with targets touched
Range / safe angles×3Dead farmers earn nothing
Cooldown rhythm×2Uptime beats highlight clips
Map mobility between loops×2Update 42 revamps punish slow repositioning
Escape when contested×1You will get crashed; recover fast
Comfort×1Long sessions amplify annoyance

Farm total also maxes at 24 with the same 0–2 scores.

Decision rule

ResultAction
One form leads by 4+ in the job columnMain it for the whole session
Within 3 pointsPrefer the higher comfort score, then clearer escape
Form leads farm but loses PvP by a lotUse it only on multiplier farm days
Form leads PvP but loses farmKeep it as duel main; pick a separate farmer
Both candidates below 12 in the job columnWiden the search via Kaiju Roster

Worked example A — PvP lab after the 2014 remodel

Job card: 40 minutes, PvP spacing lab, x2 EXP unknown, medium map comfort.

Candidate 1: remodeled Godzilla 2014
Candidate 2: your previous main (any form you already own)

Fill scores honestly after one life each:

Trait2014 score (0–2)Old main score (0–2)
Confirm / burst clarity
Escape / disengage
Range control
Crowd threat
Cooldown rhythm
Comfort

Multiply by PvP weights, compare totals, then run three intentional fights with the winner. Your only success metric is whether you executed the plan—not whether the server feared you.

Worked example B — farm session during x2 EXP

Job card: 50 minutes, U-cell + XP bank, x2 EXP live, low patience for ganks.

Prioritize farm weights. Forms that can sit on a perch and tag many targets usually beat pure duel monsters here. After you pick a farmer, open the Cell Farm Planner and lock a numeric goal so the comparator result turns into a finished session.

Role lenses (quick filters before deep scoring)

Role lensGood signsBad signs
Beam / poke farmerLong skills, safe angles, low downtimeMust stand in melee to earn anything
Brawler PvPClear commit, armor/trading toolsNo escape after whiff
DisruptorWide hitboxes, roar setups, zone controlAll damage is single-target chip
Scout / remap specialistMobility across revamped islandsOnly works on one memorized corner

Use eras on the Kaiju Roster only as flavor tags—Showa, Thermo, Legendary, and so on do not automatically win a score column.

Post-Update 42 retest protocol

Even if a form “felt fine last week,” run this five-minute retest:

  1. Land on a revamped island you used to farm.
  2. Check whether your perch still sees crowds.
  3. Check whether new routes make escapes easier or worse.
  4. Note recolor visibility if you changed colors.
  5. Rescore farm mobility and escape traits only—often those two move the total.

Common mistakes

  • Scoring from memory without a live life.
  • Mixing PvP and farm weights into one mush number.
  • Assuming thirteen recolors imply thirteen power tiers.
  • Ignoring comfort, then blaming the meta when you miss inputs.
  • Switching forms every death instead of finishing the session plan.

After you choose

Re-run the comparator whenever the Roblox title changes or your goal flips from grinding to fighting. The method stays stable even when the roster does not.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Kaiju Alpha players.

Should I use one score for everything?

No. Keep separate PvP and farm totals. Many forms are specialists, and Update 42 rewards picking the right specialist for the session.

What if my favorite form loses the checklist?

Keep it for fun queues, but do not force it on multiplier farm days. Own a dedicated farmer when efficiency matters.

Do I need exact DPS numbers to use this?

No. The 0–2 scores are based on what you observe in one life: range, contact, escapes, rhythm, and comfort.

How does Godzilla 2014 fit after the remodel?

Treat it as a new candidate. Rescore confirm clarity, escapes, and island mobility instead of copying your pre-42 opinion.

Where do I go after picking a form?

Open the Cell Farm Planner for progression sessions, or the Tier List Hub if you want a second opinion on the wider meta.

Can friends use different weights?

Yes. The method is transparent on purpose—change weights if your group values steals, peels, or pure farm rate differently.
